Retaining Walls

A retaining wall is a structure first and a landscape feature second. Denver, Golden, Ken Caryl, and Evergreen sites often need engineering, drainage, and geogrid to hold grade properly.

We design and build retaining walls in stone veneer, natural stone, engineered block, and poured concrete. Walls over 4 feet are engineered and permitted; taller walls are terraced when the site allows to keep scale residential.

Drainage behind the wall — gravel backfill, filter fabric, and outlet drains — is what determines whether the wall holds up for decades. It's not optional and it's not visible after the job is done.
